Rend Collective belts out the lyrics to thousands — hands raise high — echoes declare our purpose — yet the kingdom of God becomes nothing more than a distant dream. We raise our voices and pledge allegiance to a movement — to an emotional high that unites strangers within a crowd. However, what are we praying? What type of Kingdom are we building? Are we building our walls with political barriers — separating ourselves from those who differ? Are we building a wall around Christ or living out Christianity? Click To Tweet
What is your prayer? Our purpose is intrinsically tied to our perception. Every step, every word and every intention is tied to our view of Christ.
God’s Kingdom is living and evolving. Click To Tweet It challenges humanity to open our eyes and see those around us. It calls us to engage and listen and respond — respond to reality and reveal Christ to humanity. What is your Kingdom? Is it tied to God’s purpose or our position?
“The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don’t do anything about it.” – Albert Einstein
Mathew 6: 24, declares, “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”
We can’t serve two masters. We can’t make a difference if we cling to our idols. What’s getting in the way of people seeing Christ though us? Our political stance? Our rights? Our denomination affiliation? Our prejudice?
What idol are you placing before God’s purpose?
